Indigenous Ecological Knowledge and Natural Resources in the Northern Territory

Working under the direction of the National Centre of Indigenous Studies (NCIS) at the Australian National University (ANU), Terri Janke and Company contributed to a project on Indigenous Ecological Knowledge (IEK) and Natural Resource Management in the Northern Territory.

 

The project was commissioned by the National Resources Management Board (NT) and was a collaboration between NCIS, Terri Janke and Company, ANU (Sarah Holcombe) and Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at UTS (Michael Davis).

 

There are 3 papers:

  1. Guidelines for IEK Management

  2. Handbook for working with IEK & IP

  3. Report on the current status of Indigenous Intellectual Property
